Location: the hotel was next to Kalk Bay near the beach, St James and Kalk Bay and shops and restaurants. Local fast food option Debonairs Pizza was 5 minutes walk away. The breakfast offered lots of food and was exceptional.

The property had a nice architecture and the staff was friendly. The location is convenient with many cafes and shops around. The room had a nice view and it was comfortable to stay in. There were drinks available at the honesty bar, which was a nice touch.
The bedding was old and some doors were broken. The noise level was quite high due to the location close to a railway station and a main street.

The hotel was a luxurious venue that fulfilled all our exclusive amenities needs. the service was impeccable, and the staff was charming and helpful. the outdoor swimming pool area was magnificent, with sun loungers and beach umbrellas perfectly arranged for relaxation. the sun terrace and garden area were stunning, with a breathtaking beachfront location that was easily accessible.
The breakfast was a minor issue as it was a bit chaotic and took a while to be served. But despite this, the breakfast menu had a great selection of special diet menus.

The property impresses in so many ways! the house has a pub downstairs with a variety of drinks, and the staff provided clear instructions on how to use the safe in the room. A few minutes away is the Two Oceans restaurant with well-trained staff, and the garden offers a lovely view. the bathroom is sparkling clean, and the bed is so comfortable!
Some areas of the hotel need updating.

Our stay at this historic property was a delight. the luxurious and spacious rooms, elegantly furnished, offered a comfortable stay. the sea view from our balcony was breathtaking. the staff, especially the manager, were extremely helpful and accommodating. the served breakfasts were exceptional, and the attention to detail, such as the turndown service with SA liquors and chocolates, was a pleasant touch. the location was perfect, with several quality restaurants within walking distance and beautiful tidal pools and Muizenberg beach nearby.
Although the proximity to the sea brought some traffic noise, it was bearable. the service at the guest house was lacking.

Great view of the ocean from my room. the bed was very comfortable, and I slept peacefully all through the night. the staff was prompt and had no trouble helping with any issues. Two great amenities we had were a convenient gym and a restaurant that was quite cheap but also made decent meals. Location was great with easy access to transportation and local attractions.
The rooms were smaller than I expected with some furniture being outdated and starting to show its age. There were not enough outlets to charge electronics which can be frustrating when traveling for business.
